Mika sends Michael a message.
« on: Monday, January 06, 2014 »
Thought this worth putting here. Our man Mika Hakkinen sent a message to the Schumacher family. It reads in part:

Quote
"Your accident is now just another challenge," Hakkinen wrote in an email to Schumacher and his family which was published by Bild am Sonntag. "You have to fight hard again, just like we both used to do on the track."

Hakkinen himself was in a coma following an accident in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix in 1995, and said he survived "with the help of my family and the professional support of the doctors. I am sure you are getting the same kind of help.

Do me a favour: just this once don't try to beat the clock. You don't have to post your best time in this race. You have to take all the time you need. Take it easy, Mika".

Good old Mika...always a class act.

Saw that on F1Live. Thought it was cool.

Did you see where Lewis caught all kinds of **** for posting some of his vacation pics? He went on a ski trip and posted a few pics on his fan site and everybody lost it and jumped his ass. **** low rent morons.

Yea, I saw that over at the Mercedes forum. De_Jokke posted a link to it and had said that people need to get a life. He's completely right.

That's why a lot of folks don't share anything with the public anymore. Some **** is always going to warp it into something bad. If Harrison Ford showed some pictures of himself and family vacationing in Saudi Arabia, the only thing you'd hear about is how he's a jerk and bastard for going there what with the slave labor practices that they're pulling over there.

Like Harry has control over that. Like it's his problem. Yea. Sure. Right.

People just want to trash people so that they can feel better about their own failed and miserable lives. That's really all there is to it.

I saw that but I'm not putting any stock in it. I think it's more bullshit conjecture to sell a few papers.

Why do you think its ****? Unfortunately, its quite unlikely he will ever be fully cognisant, more likely he will only ever be semi aware at best.

Simple: The press likes drama. It sells. It wouldn't matter if the doctors came out and said, "He's actually playing tennis right now and will be available for comment later" they'd still drum up some drama.

Michael suffered a very serious injury. They're doing the right thing and taking their time to insure that he has a full recovery.

You see, doctors don't give a **** if you want Michael waving from the balcony today. Doctors are concerned with Michael waving from the balcony 20 years from now.

It's going to be a long road for him...but he'll be fine.

It was actually me that said it's **** and it is. Parmy is just backing me up.

First off, the people in that article admitted they were speculating. Not only that but most of the so called speculators wouldn't go on record with their actual name.

If Dr. Thomas of Johns Hopkins university gives an opinion, it's worth something. If "a leading doctor from the European union who shall remain nameless" gives an opinion, it's usually because it's either not a doctor at all, or he's being paid to come up with some bullshit the newspaper can sell. They said the same things about Robert Kubica at first: that he had lost his arm, that he may die, that it's an epic tragedy.

They sold a shitload of papers doing that. So what really happened? His arm was badly hurt. He got over it. He races rally now.

Get the point?

I watched an interview with a leading neurosurgeon who said that given that Schumacher had two operations showed there was massive trauma, [as confirmed by his own team], and given the length of time he's been in a coma he was unlikely to ever be fully awake.  At best he would be only semi conscious and extremely unlikely to ever perform basic functions like feeding himself or talking.

Now, if either you or Parminio know better than a leading Neurosurgeon in this regard, then  I will bow to your greater knowledge.

So there's no facts again. Wonderful.

You see, that's what we're talking about: A doctor to has nothing to do with Michael's treatment, who has absolutely no facts at hand, makes remarks on a TV program that they deem unworthy to post on the internet and you give it weight?

It's like all those TV lawyers that talk about a case when they have no idea what the prosecutions evidence is, they haven't interviewed a single witness, and have no idea what the defense argument will be.

It's pure, made up guessing. Nothing more.

The only 4 guys that know are Michael's doctors. Until they speak, everybody else is just hurling around useless opinions and guesses.

And I saw an interview with a leading outdoorsman that swears he saw bigfoot. I've also seen an interview with a leading biologist that says the Loch Ness Monster is real.

See where that gets you? If you're not the doctor working on the patient, you don't know ****. End of story.

Conversely you dipsticks "don't know ****" either and you can't say he's gonna be OK cos you don't know. If you read what I wrote, I didn't say he was schumachers doc, I said he was a neurosurgeon who was talking about schumacher's situation based on what we all know, that being the length of time he has been in a coma and what they had reported originally about the seriousness of the brain damage.

Parminio is this why you started your own forum, so you can insult and bully posters like you did so much on sportnetwork? If so good luck with having a very successful forum.
